1. Educational purpose
House of Wisdom ("Bayt al-Hikma") is an educational platform. Content, tutors, and tools are provided for learning and enrichment. They are not a substitute for school curricula, professional tutoring contracts, or formal certification unless expressly stated.
2. Parent responsibility for child usage
If you create a parent or teacher account and add child profiles, you are responsible for supervising how children use the platform, for the accuracy of information you provide about them, and for ensuring use is appropriate for their age and circumstances. You must have authority to manage a child's learning account before adding them.
3. No guarantee of educational outcomes
We do not guarantee any specific academic result, grade improvement, mastery of a subject, Quran memorization outcome, or test score. Learning progress depends on many factors outside our control. AI-assisted tutoring and explanations may contain errors; users should verify important facts with qualified teachers or scholars.
4. Data collection and usage
How we collect, use, and protect personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you agree to that policy as it relates to your account and any child profiles you manage.
5. PIPEDA (Canada)
For users in Canada, we aim to handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy rules. Questions about privacy practices may be sent to learn@houseofwisdom.ca.
6. Account deletion
Account deletion is available on request. Email learn@houseofwisdom.ca from the address associated with your account to request deletion of your parent account and related child profile data, subject to any legal retention requirements.
